Permanent magnetic drum is designed and manufactured in such a manner that only half of its side is magnetized. An empty stainless steel 304 shell which surrounds the magnet rotates freely. The magnet is stationary. Ferrous particles which get attracted are collected separately as shown. Application : The magnetic drum separator is most ideal for separation of iron particles from granules and powders. It is widely used in Glass, Ceramic, Chemical, Foundry, Fertilizer, Plastic and Food Industry. Application : Suspension magnets and Over
band Magnetic Separator find wide applications in mining, coal/power
generation plant and also in chemical/ food/plastic/ ceramics
industries.
Construction : The magnetism in a permanent
suspension magnet is produced by internal assembly of magnets enclosed
in a non-magnetic stainless steel housing. The magnet is suspended by
turnbuckle, dee shackles, wire ropes and suspended hooks.
The magnetic power in suspension magnet is designed according to material depth/belt speed of the conveyor. Operating heights up to 400 mm, are possible. The suspension magnet can also be used in conjunction with magnetic pulley to achieve 100% results. In Over band Magnetic Separator the Conveyor belt rotates round the Permanent Magnet and iron impurities picked up are thrown off and collected separated. Selection : The design of magnet depends on
the feed material, size and feed depth. The design also depends on width

The Coolant Magnetic Separators
is designed and developed to clean the coolant liquid from very fine
ferrous particles which the conventional filters cannot remove. The
usages of coolant magnetic separator assures uninterrupted flow of pure
coolant liquid which is very much needed for any precision grinding
operation. The performance of the machine is improved for the
incorporation of the coolant magnetic separator for better surface
finish of the jobs. |

OPERATION : The used coolant in the grinding machine is
passed through the filter to remove course sediments and then discharged
into the coolant magnetic separator inlet. The coolant drum that has the
permanent magnets, rotates at slow speed and in the opposite direction
of the liquid flow. The fine iron particles get attracted to the strong
magnetic poles present in the separator drum. A brass scrapper is
attached at the other end of the machine that helps in scrapping the
ferrous particles from the magnetic poles. Iron impurities get collected
in the special box provided with the machine. |
